Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the WordShuttle mobile application ("App") and associated website (collectively, the "Service"), operated by FlyDaddyDevelopments ("we," "us," or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age (or 16 in the European Union/United Kingdom) to use the Service. By using the App, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that you have obtained parental or guardian consent.
The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.
3. Your Account
You must create an account to play WordShuttle. Sign-in is required using Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, Email (via Firebase), or Game Center to access all game features, save your statistics, and enable multiplayer and leaderboards.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Choosing a display name that is not offensive, impersonating, or in violation of any third party's rights
- Notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized use of your account
We reserve the right to reclaim, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, impersonate other users, or use inappropriate display names.
4. License to Use the App
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on your personal iOS device(s) solely for personal, non-commercial entertainment purposes.
This license does not include the right to:
- Modify, adapt, translate, or create derivative works of the App
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Distribute, sell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the App or its content
- Use automated bots, scripts, or tools to interact with the App
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices in the App
5. User Conduct
When using the Service, you agree not to:
- Cheat, exploit bugs, or use third-party software to gain an unfair advantage
- Manipulate game matchmaking, leaderboards, or score systems
- Harass, abuse, or harm other players
- Use a display name that is obscene, hateful, or impersonating
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems you are not authorized to access
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
- Violate any applicable local, state, national, or international law
We reserve the right to investigate violations and take appropriate action, including suspending or permanently banning accounts.
6. Premium Subscriptions & Purchases
6.1 Premium Features
Certain features are available only to Premium subscribers, including unlimited solo games, Time Trial mode, bonus power-ups, and an ad-free experience. Premium is offered as a subscription with pricing displayed in the App at the time of purchase.
6.2 Billing
All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. By subscribing, you authorize Apple to charge your Apple ID account on a recurring basis at the rate shown at purchase. Your subscription will automatically renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
6.3 Cancellation
To cancel your subscription, go to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions → WordShuttle. You will retain Premium access until the end of your current billing period. We do not issue partial refunds for unused time.
6.4 Refunds
All sales are final except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. FlyDaddyDevelopments does not process refunds directly.
6.5 Price Changes
We may change Premium pricing at any time. Price changes will take effect at your next renewal. We will notify you in advance of any price change through the App or email.
7. Virtual Items & Game Content
Any virtual items, power-ups, or in-game content obtained through the App are licensed to you, not sold. They have no real-world monetary value, cannot be transferred or traded, and may be modified or removed at our discretion without notice or compensation.
We are not responsible for any loss of virtual items due to account termination, technical issues, or changes to the game.
8. Intellectual Property
All content in the App — including but not limited to the game design, logic, graphics, typography, sound, code, trademarks ("WordShuttle"), and the word list — is the property of FlyDaddyDevelopments and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not use our trademarks, logos, or branding without our prior written consent.
If you submit feedback, ideas, or suggestions to us, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free, worldwide license to use that feedback for any purpose without compensation or attribution to you.
9. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including Firebase (Google) for authentication (including Email sign-in), database, storage, and crash reporting (Crashlytics); Google AdMob for advertising; RevenueCat for subscription management; Google Sign-In; Sign in with Apple; and Apple Game Center. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices or content of any third-party service.

10. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.
We do not warrant that: (a) the App will meet your requirements; (b) the App will be available at any particular time; (c) any errors will be corrected; or (d) the App is free of viruses or harmful components.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, FLYDADDYDEVELOPMENTS AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES — INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, GAME PROGRESS, VIRTUAL ITEMS, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL — ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR USD $10, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FlyDaddyDevelopments and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any third party's rights.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including violation of these Terms. Upon termination, your license to use the App ends immediately. Sections 8 (IP), 10 (Disclaimers), 11 (Limitation of Liability), and 12 (Indemnification) survive termination.
You may stop using the App at any time. To delete your account, email us at support@wordshuttle.app.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Collin County, Texas.
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence that cannot be waived by contract.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
