After each guess, you don't see the full hidden word — you see a partial window of it. Each row's window reveals a different section of the word, growing and shifting as the game progresses. Every guess must be a real dictionary word of exactly the length the current window requires. By piecing together clues across multiple rows, you can deduce the full hidden word before guess 11.

You have 11 guesses per round. Each game has two rounds — Round 1 with a 6-letter hidden word, and Round 2 with a 7-letter hidden word. The window grows or shifts with each row until guess 11, when it finally spans the full word length — that's the only row where you can submit the hidden word itself.

Easy mode: After each guess, letter tiles light up with visual feedback — green for the right letter in the right position, yellow for the right letter in the wrong position (Wordle-style).

Hard mode: No visual tile feedback. You only receive a total point value for each guess row. Since correct-position letters earn 1,000 pts, wrong-position letters earn 250 pts, and absent letters earn 0 pts, you have to do the math and deduce which letters scored what. Much harder — but very satisfying.

The point values and the correct-word bonus are identical in both modes.

On guess 11 — the only row wide enough to enter the full hidden word — submitting it correctly earns you an automatic 3,000 point bonus on top of all letter-placement points from that row. The bonus applies in both Easy and Hard mode across all game types. The key strategy is to deduce the hidden word as early as possible (from the shifting window clues in rows 1–10), so you can use those remaining guesses to maximise overlap with its letters and rack up 1,000 pt tiles — then claim the bonus on row 11.

Yes! Your profile tab shows detailed stats broken down by game mode (Score Trial, Score Challenge, Daily Challenge) and difficulty (Easy / Hard). You can filter to see your best score, average score, games played, and more for each combination.

Yes — you must sign in to play. WordShuttle uses your account to save stats, power leaderboards, and enable multiplayer. You can sign in with Apple, Google, Email, or Game Center. Not sure yet? There's a learn-to-play walkthrough on the sign-in screen so you can explore the game before committing.

Go to your Profile tab → Edit Profile. Display names must be 2–20 characters and unique across all WordShuttle players. The app checks availability in real time as you type.

Your stats are stored in the cloud and will restore automatically when you sign back in with the same account (Apple ID, Google, Email, or Game Center). If you're not seeing your stats, make sure you're signing in with the same method and account you originally used.

To request account deletion, contact us with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and include your registered email address or display name. We'll process your request within 30 days. Deleting your account permanently removes all associated data including stats, scores, and profile information.

A WordShuttle moderator reviews every report. If we determine your display name or profile picture violates our Content Standards, we may reset it to a neutral placeholder. Your account remains active — you can set a new, compliant display name and profile picture at any time. Repeat violations can lead to account termination. See our Terms of Service for full details.

WordShuttle requires iOS 18.0 or later. For the best experience, we recommend staying on the latest iOS version.

1. Force-quit the app and reopen it.
2. Check that you have a stable internet connection (required for multiplayer and syncing).
3. Make sure you're on the latest version of WordShuttle (update from the App Store).
4. Restart your device.

If the problem persists, report a bug with as much detail as possible — device model, iOS version, and what you were doing when it crashed.

Matchmaking can take a moment, especially during off-peak hours. The app will keep searching for a brief window before timing out. Make sure you're connected to the internet. If you're consistently unable to find matches, let us know — player count data helps us improve matchmaking.

WordShuttle is available on both iPhone and iPad (iOS 18.0+). An Android version is not currently available.
